Our founder + director Lorrin has extensive product design experience in both manufacturing and consulting. She has also spent time working as a volunteer in rural Uganda where she lived in a single room mud hut. These experiences have led her to believe that designers have a social responsibility to meet the needs of the impoverished. She has also gained an insight into the importance of cultural sensitivity in design and how the community must take ownership of the product in order for it to be sustainable. |
